Further to previous communications, a couple of queries have been raised this week with the implementation of the parking permit system at Basildon:
- A physical permit (issued at Basildon Reception) must be displayed clearly on the dashboard/windscreen of your vehicle – this is separate to the form completed to apply for a permit.
- If you collect a permit from the Basildon Reception, it must then be displayed in your car with immediate effect.
A number of tickets have been issued this week, some of which were due to genuine mistakes & therefore will be vetoed. However, from next week we would expect to see less tickets being issued & fewer will be vetoed due to staff & students having been given sufficient time to apply for & collect permits.
Please ensure you have a valid parking permit displayed in your vehicle at all times whilst parked at the Basildon Campus.
