World Book Night is an annual celebration of reading that takes place on 23 April with South Essex College celebrating this on Monday 25th April. It sees passionate libraries, schools and colleges like ourselves giving out thousands of books to share the love of reading with people who don’t read regularly or own a lot of books themselves. We have been provided with brand new fiction books via a company called ‘Reading Well’ who promote World Book Night and we will have these available for learners and staff to come and take for free! This event is running all day in the LRCs as well as the Southend Campus reception from 9 AM to Midday.
