The Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology will develop the skills necessary to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the installation and maintenance of Electrotechnical systems and equipment in buildings, structures and the environment.
This qualification is available at Level 3 only, and is ideal for a learner who has worked in the industry for some time. It will help learners develop their skills further, perhaps to move into a management role.

The following purpose is for the Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations 2365‐03 (QAN no: 600/5499/2) the following qualification is a Technical Level qualification. The intention of the purpose is to explain to students, parents, employers, post 16 providers and higher education institutes where the qualification could lead. The qualification has appropriate content and assessment methods for 16‐19 year olds.
This level 3 qualification is a technical vocational qualification which focus on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills required in the electrical sector. It is designed to deliver a high level of occupational skills and provide a sound platform from which to progress onto a HE qualification or into employment. It has been designed to deliver a high level of occupational capability.
A learner studying this qualification will receive a broad background in understanding the electrical sector and the practical skills and knowledge required. It will provide the learner with an awareness of the range of jobs and work settings in the sector. Enable a learner to make an informed assessment of their own aptitude for work in this sector and to make informed decisions about careers; returning to work, career development options or possible career change.
